Really posh hotel but staff are friendly not snooty. Top quality breakfast, rooms very nice and modern/clean. Location is great for walking in to the centre. Car parking nearby at underground public car park, was only €15 for 24 hrs. Spa is small but pleasant. Pool is tiny so for kids to splash in only really. Saunas were very good. Highly recommend as a spot of luxury to enjoy the beautiful city of Gent

Hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed in Belgium. Ive stayed here 3 times and it’s consistently exceeded my expectations. I’ve been to a few 5-star hotels in Belgium, but to me the Pillows Hotel in Ghent comes out on top, no question. This is in great part due to their very attentive and friendly staff, who truly elevate the experience at every stay. The food served at both their evening and daytime restaurants are absolutely mind-blowing too. Rooms and amenities are impeccable. Overall can only recommend staying at this gem of a place when in Ghent!

Supreme quiet location near the historical city centre, within easy walking distance to all major sights. A wonderful stay at a stylish and atmospheric hotel with spa options. The hotel team was amazing—very welcoming and providing outstanding, anticipatory service. I can’t recommend the bar and restaurant experience enough. The rooms are neutrally decorated, spacious, and feature contemporary design. The bed was heavenly, with superior bed linens. The garden-facing room had the best view, overlooking a lovely old tree. Thanks!

Loved our stay at Pillows. We had a very long day of traveling and arrived early to the property, and they were very accommodating about letting us check in early. The girl at the front desk was also very helpful and showed us where everything was and was also able to call us a taxi to the train station during our stay. The location was good - within walking distance of the city center and a tram stop. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We were unsure about how to work the coffee machine and rain shower, but the front desk was helpful. We wish we had prebooked the breakfast, because it was pretty pricey buying it day of. Can’t wait to return to Ghent one day, and we’d love to stay at Pillows again.

This review is for just the spa, not the hotel. I was not a guest at the hotel so I cannot comment on the accomodations: I booked two, 1-hour massages the day before around 2 PM. They were booked separately through the "Book Appointments" tab on the hotel spa's website. All they asked for during the booking was my name, phone, and email. I can be certain I booked two massages because they were booked independently, one with a male masseuse and one with a woman masseuse. The male/female masseuse options are completely separate on the website, with different time slots available for each. Both massages were booked for 12 PM, and I reached the confirmation and thanks screen after inputting my contact information twice. The hotel emailed us as 8:30 PM the night before to confirm one appointment, requesting credit card information to hold the appointment - otherwise they would cancel automatically. I wrote back with the credit card information, and indicated in the email that they could use this credit card info for both of the appointments I had booked. We heard nothing back. We arrived 5 minutes early at the hotel and there was minimal signage indicating where the spa was located. Once we were able to locate the spa (a random door on the side of the inner courtyard with only a small sign, which was blocked by a bush), we rang the doorbell multiple times. When there was no answer and the time passed 12 PM, we resorted to knocking very loudly to no avail. A random passing guest (who was lost and looking for the gym), keyed us into the spa. Only then did an attendant come out to greet us, acting surprised that we were even there. She led us into the locker room to change into bathrobes. After we had changed and exited the locker room, one masseuse came out to greet us. He then told us there was only one appointment. Not wanting to argue, one of us got dressed and went to the front desk to ensure they didn't charge us for both massages. The wait for the front desk took almost 20 minutes, even with two attendants working. Once we were able to speak with someone, I explained the situation. They made no apology, no explanation, no courtesy for the confusion. They simply charged me for the one massage and that was it. If you book here, ensure you receive separate confirmations for all appointments. It's probably worth calling the hotel after booking to confirm. You'll also want to arrive a half an hour early so that you can actually talk to someone at the front desk and not waste half of your appointment time. In the end, the one massage was fine, nothing special.
